Coop Ale Works

dnr

title-dnr
10% ABV     30 IBUs

The first big beer brewed in Oklahoma, DNR begins with central and western European malts that are skillfully blended with Noble hops from northern Germany. DNR provides flavor and aroma that is big in every way. Notes of dried fruit, cinnamon and vanilla make DNR a very complex experience to be enjoyed in moderation.

This beer is fantastic! Brewed by my brother-in-law I had to try it and now I love it. Greatest memory from Tap Werks was the first sip of superb quality and taste. A beer for the connoisseur.

had this one about a month ago at Mcnellies in a pint, thought it was excelent then. went back last night and asked for it in a snifter, and boy did those aromas and tastes open up! Excellent beer chase! Threw my BA review up on my blog if you’re interested. http://www.redneckfistula.blogspot.com/

Just tasted DNR yesterday (4/11/09) – reminds me of Chimay – OKC should be proud to have COOP on our side!

  8. Justin Sowers says:

Just drank at Tapwerks, outstanding! Tastes almost like a dubbel or quad, there is so much flavor to soften the massive ABV. Well done guys, can’t wait for the next one. I like the other three, but you’ve outdone yourselves this time.

    Wonderful beer, very dangerous.

  10. JPatrick says:

I see what the others mean by this being a smooth and dangerous beer. The taste of the beer is reminiscent of other Belgians I have had but stands on its own with its drinkability. Good job, guys!

  11. this beer is like a light sherry, don’t take more than 2 glasses
it is nectar from the Gods

This one is my favorite by far, especially from the nitrogen tap at the 51st Street Speakeasy. They’re not joking, moderation is the key.
