6.3% ABV     35 IBUs

We like to believe that Native Amber is a perfect blend of hops and malt. Caramel and biscuit notes carry the Cascade and Cluster hop additions through to a wonderfully round finish. Native Amber is assertive, yet balanced providing any craft beer fan a local option that has long been absent in Oklahoma City.

This beer is quickly becoming our favorite. We moved to OKC from Portland, OR. F5 is a legit IPA. However, there’s something unique about Native Amber. No, it’s not an IPA, but it comes through so strong and clean. The hop notes are really big on the nose – fabulous in terms of fragrance. We’ve been plowing through cases at our house. There’s something anti-snobby about having a sweet (as in, badass), delicious craft beer in a can.

Pulled the tab on an Native Amber and took a smell. “I smell Cascade Hops” I said out loud, then took a taste. Has the bitterness of Cluster, I said to myself. Drank about half a can then read the back of it. This is everything I like in an Ale. I like all kinds of beer, but deep down I’m a Hop Head. Living in Oklahoma, it is nice knowing that I don’t have to drink beer from somewhere else to get quality. This is damned good stuff.

This is a surprisingly good beer. I like the fact that it’s made in Okc also. Tried my first can tonight, had to have a second one just because it’s that good! I consider my self an expert on beer as its all I drink as far as alcohol goes. Iam a born and bred okie, but I lived in upstate ny for 3 yrs and I’ve had beer form all over Canada and Mexico and every where else, and this is as good as any I’ve ever had. It just came to be a favorite of mine!I’ll have to go try it on tap!

Having such a wonderful beer made here in OK is very exciting. Truly an excellent drink. The aforementioned description is more perfect than the aforementioned description it mentioned.

I just tried this on draught in Stillwater at the college bar. The afromentioned description is perfect. I may have never tasted hops and malts working together so well. This amber fills a giant void in Oklahoma. I’ve been impressed with every beer from coop. The best amber ale I’ve tried.

  8. AMAZING, Oklahoma City gets a few things right….greasy hair, rockn’roll, hot weather, and NATIVE AMBER. In a state that only offers 3.2% beer as the norm…Native Amber at 6.3% is just the way to go and you can’t beat the taste and price. You don’t need much to do ya a lot of good.

I love beer and I’m very selective of what I throw down the hatch. With that being said, Native Amber has to be one of the best beers around. I’m usually a extra stout kinda guy but….. Like I said, BADSASS! But don’t take my word for it. JUST GET SOME!!!
