Want to send your friends/family to try COOP while they’re out on the town? Can’t remember which COOP beer it was you enjoyed so much last week? Have no fear, the COOP iPhone App can solve all your problems – well, maybe not all of them, but at least a few.

On June 11, 2009, the COOP Ale Works iPhone App was released to the masses via the iPhone App Store. More than 680 thirsty souls have downloaded the app in just over one month. The app gives you the ability to check out the details on all COOP beers via each beer’s logo. Additionally, the app will take your current location via GPS and give you the directions to the nearest venues that carry COOP products. Never again shall ye be lost in pursuit of COOP!

We believe we’re the first brewery in the United States to offer such an app, but, we could be wrong. Enjoy and tell us what you think.

It’s been a busy week here at COOP Ale Works. Monday and Tuesday were brew days. We brewed Zeppelin German Wheat. I find this beer to be the most difficult in the lineup to brew. The rye and wheat seem to fight me all the way to spent grain removal. The rest of the week involved keg cleaning, keg filling, and the best part, sending beer out to its new home. Today we will head up to Rob’s World of Beer in Wichita. I’ll be looking for local KS beers, Jolly Pumkin, and Cantillon. I think we will also visit Hank. Keep in mind that we are beer geeks before we are brewers. I’ll end this post with a cool find down in Norman yesterday - Progress Beer.
